Do you need a warm pick-me-up to get past the winter chill?

It is that time of winter, that time where I’m just itching to see that green grass start peeking out along the side of the road.  I can’t wait to see the trees and flowers start to bloom again.  I’m ready to go outside without my coat on and enjoy the sunshine tanning my arms.  Since it is still January and I live in the mountains, maybe I am in need of a tropical vacation somewhere instead.  I’m not sure it is quite the time of year to hope for the winter chill to be gone, yet.   The dead of winter isn’t going anywhere for a while. Banana Chia Pudding Recipe

Bananachia

Sometimes it is nice to have a sweet healthy, easy treat…

I really love it when I’m inspired in my kitchen to try a new recipe.  I had tried a chia pudding a few months back and though it would be fun to make a recipe of my own.  This month has been an interesting one food-wise for our family.

Should Pregnant Women Eat Liver?

Should Pregnant Women Eat Liver?

In November I posted 10 Nourishing Foods to Eat During Pregnancy and since then I have had several individuals inquiring about my top #2 food on the list, liver.    Unfortunately, liver happens to be a controversial food for pregnant mammas,  it is high in the fat soluble vitamin A which is picked on for being toxic to infants in the womb.  Hopefully, no doctor would even deny that a mother is in need of vitamin A for both her and her developing infant, but is there really too much vitamin A in liver?
