12 Paleo Food Blogs I love

Where do you go when you need recipes for something yummy?  Do you run to your cookbooks or do you fire up the internet search engine?

I own lots of cookbooks that I use quite often, but I LOVE the convenience of the internet! I love to be able to look at photos of food that I can practically lick off the page and then go cook the yummy-ness in my kitchen.

Yes, I am a visual food sort of girl.  If I go to a restaurant I even like to order by photo if at all possible.  So, many of the Paleo food blogs that I love have fabulous photos that will make you drool. 

I just love to count on some yummy Paleo blogs for good clean eats with recipes that turn out right time after time after time.  I love to visit these gems of food knowledge when I’m doing my meal plans.  Don’t you?  Maybe you have a few of some of the same favorite food blogs as I do.

Y’all, I had 10 blogs on this list.  And, then I realized that there was er…two I forgot.  And, I couldn’t just take two off the page to keep 10.  I am convinced that you need to know about ALL of these blogs. ALL of them.  ALL 12 of them.

Many times my clients that are brand stinkin’ new to a traditional foods and the Paleo lifestyle want to know where the best eats are out there.  What are the best go-to recipes on the internet?  Don’t we all want to know where we can get the comforts of our food lives, but in a healthier form ?  Food was meant for pleasure.  I am convinced.

So, I’ve put together this list of the top 12 Paleo food blogs I love.  I want you to have some of the very best Paleo blogs on the internet at your finger tips for more great learning and fantastic food recipes.

1. Nom Nom Paleo

Nom Nom PaleoMichelle Tam writes Nom Nom Paleo.  She claims to be obsessed with food.  Um… I can relate!   She majored in Food & Nutrition Science and is basically a food genius in the kitchen.  After a life of eating all the wrong stuff  she realized (with the help of her dear hubby) that the Paleo diet is where it is at for true health.  The family is looking and feeling great.  They have this super rad blog with amazing recipes!  And bonus, they have a new cookbook out!  Score!

Juli that writes over at Paleomg is just a stitch.  She isn’t only a fabulous cook and recipe extraordinaire, she is entertaining too.  Her photos just make her food look computer screen lickable.  Your kitchen will be happy to recreate the recipes that Juli has on her blog.

3. The Paleo Mom

This Mama, Sarah has her PhD and is full of amazing Nutrition knowledge.  She truly loves to research and that is why I truly love her blog.  She also believes that healthy food should taste amazing and I say, sign me up for that!

Sarah has struggled with autoimmune related conditions and  has written about it lots on her blog.  You just HAVE to look at her amazing weight loss transformation on her about page.  She was at one time 275 lbs and after going Paleo lost 150 lbs!  Wow.  You can see her photos here.

4. Mark’s Daily Apple

Mark Sisson is on a mission similar to my own.  He wants to empower you to take full responsibility for your health.  He wants to challenge you to go against mainstream thinking and begin to really understand what health is all about.  He is a dad of two teenagers and likes to snowboard.  Sounds like some fun family bonding to me!  He has some great information over on his blog and he has some fabulous recipes too!  If you haven’t ever been there, go on and check it out!

balancedbites.com Diane Sanfilippo is a two time New York Times Best-Selling Author who has authored both Practical Paleo and the 21 Day Sugar Detox.   She is a holistic nutritionist that specializes in Paleo nutrition, blood-sugar regulation, food allergies, and digestive health.  I can align with that since that is a lot of what I focus on with my clients too!  She has all kinds of fab stuff on her blog.  If you’ve never been there, click on over there now and check it out!

7. Against All Grain

At the time of posting this Cranberry Chocolate Gingerbread Cake just happened to be the first photo on the page – all I have to say to that is get in my mouth!  Danielle Walker is yet another New York Times Best-Selling Author, she wrote Against All Grain. With all these computer screen licking recipes you KNOW that her cookbook has to be good!   After finding out she also had an autoimmune disease Danielle removed grains, lactose, and legumes from her diet and wanted to help others with these dietary constraints to enjoy food!

This couple experienced health struggles their whole life until turning Paleo.  They are now experiencing vibrant health and raising their kids with their vibrantly healthy eating! Feeling better and looking better than every before they are helping others do the same thing.  The authors of Beyond Bacon, they teach you how to make great recipes from every part of the pig, not just the bacon. Mmm…Bacon.   I just love the inspiration from this blog!

A fellow  Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, Mickey Trescott has a cookbook that I just LOVE with a capital L!   She wrote the Autoimmune Paleo Cookbook and has some of the most AMAZING Autoimmune Paleo recipes on her blog.   I’ve made many of the recipes from her AIP cookbook and I just love that I can keep getting more fabulous recipes by stopping by her blog, Autoimmune Paleo.  It really doesn’t matter if you have been diagnosed with an autoimmune disease or not you will benefit from eating Mickey’s nutritious recipes, they will most certainly help heal your gut.

10.  Elana’s Pantry

I’ve been reading Elena’s blog FOREVER.  I really enjoy her recipes and many are quick and easy.  She’s helped herself heal from Multiple Sclerosis (another autoimmune disease) with a Paleo diet.  It is amazing how changing your diet can help you heal from an array of health issues!  I just love good food! Elena also has some tasty looking cookbooks.  I’ve never had a chance to try out any of her cookbooks, but I sure would like to. The Gluten-free cupcakes cookbook looks Yum-E!

Let’s talk about The Urban Poser for a minute.  Holy smokes, I have dreams about the recipes on this blog.  I do, I really do.  I also daydream about how I want Jenni over there to be my personal chef.  I’m sure her family is grateful for her not only healthy, but amazingly tasty cooking.  You can find her teaching yoga, eating gluten, grain, and dairy-free and taking the most amazing photos. I’m sure I saw something about her coming out with a cookbook but, I have NO idea when that might be.  I would run on over to her blog and make sure you book mark it, subscribe and follow her to find out when that might be.  Until then, make sure you make all the fabulous recipes on her blog that you can.  You won’t be sorry!

The Spunky Coconut Kelly over at the Spunky Coconut has lots of fabulous recipes that are wheat, sugar, and dairy free. Her family has been overcoming Celiac, ADD, and Autism with great success.  She is also author of the Paleo Chocolate Lovers Cookbook.  Does that sound like yummy business or what?   I always run into her terribly tasty recipes over there when I’m Googling and I kick myself for not stopping there more often. Don’t make the same mistakes I have and bake more of her fabulous foods. Please!
